- A friend of mine talked me in to running a half marathon in my early forties. That was a big accomplishment for me and a big confidence booster that I could do triathlons. It was harder than I thought since I never swam a lap in my life. After 6 humbling months of swimming, I finally had a break through but missed my first season of triathlons. Post-It notes first hit the stores in 1977 according to Wikipedia. I guess that IS old school at this point.
