I was a slow getting my camera out to snap a pic of this three foot black snack.
Kind of a dreary day
Trail construction meant I had the trail to myself.
They scrapped the asphalt off all the train bridges down to the original wood. You could really smell the tar.
This one was a little tougher to get by :)
Knocked out a little over 11 miles. Longest run in about a year. I think Ineed some core work before I go much further.

Nice miles, Mike! I need to get on core strength too.
So did you jump that final bridge?
Sweet trail! Shudder....HATE snakes! Apart from that, sounds like a great run!
Ok I did not need to see that first one. A god reason why I cannot move south!
Good job on the distance. No problem being slow on the first picture. The less the better. I would have probably turned around at that point. At least running. I managed to keep going when I saw so many snakes on my bike two weeks ago.
If your wife has any hints for pills and cats I'd love to know. My husband leaves it to me too but I would gladly give it up. The cats will hate me by the time this is over. I've tried pill pockets and the pill throat plunger thing. ONly one of them is still going for the pill pockets. Your wife has my sympathy.
Congrats on the long run! That snake is no bueno. Those bridge pictures are awesome.
Looks like your trail run turned into an obstacle race!
Nice running, Mike!!!
I would prefer the snakes to stay in the bushes-- away from me :)
Nice to have the trail to yourself! There is one in Eugene I can't use M-F because they have heavy equipment:( working on it and won't let me past the gate. I like how you are going for it anyway!
Did you try your hurdling skills over the bridge? :)
Glad the running's coming along (and why am I so late to responding to this post?)... does it make the brain start thinking to 2014??
I used to be a runner and fitness fan for a long time, and recently I've stumbled upon a very interesting blog with plenty of useful info for athletes (http://bit.ly/Qh9G8S). I've read there about the pre-workout and post-workout nutrition, as well as the ways to keep yourself energized and increase your physical capacities. I am following their advices and experiencing impressive progress in my trainings!
Merci pour votre article! J’aime lire vos pages.
A recommander!
